| Note* | 2005 | He An extensive search has never turned up any clue as to the Houghton family. However, in 2005 Laura Steneck found a possibility in the LDS IGI file. We know that Sarah had a brother John. The IGI files give the following family: Parents Thomas and Dianh Haughton with three children: Richard Christened Feb 7 1779, Sarah Christened May 19 1777, John Christned Feb 16 1783 and Henry Christened April 1 1781. All Christening happened in Sedgley, Stafford England. These records are on film 0421587 and 0421588 (check the last number film first as its for the period 1741-1786.
These are only clues and are the only known close match for Sarah and her brother John. Our Sarah was born in 1781 if you trust a baptism record in Pittsburgh saying: "Alice Blakely baptized age 51 in 1832" in 2005. |
