Probate*May 1755 His estate was probated in May 1755 at NC. 
Living*31 January 1677  On 31 January 1677 George Bell, III. is called "friend" in the will of John Dew. This will was witnessed by Francis Floyd. However, this is really wierd. George, III's father died in 1755. There is 72 years between this will mentioning son (who must have been at least 18 in 1677) and the father's death. Father would have be an elderly 86 or so. Could happen, but not really likely. (I now know there were three George Bells.

Francis Floyd was married to George III's sister, Elizabeth as evidenced by George Jr.'s will.2 
LANDCONTRA*27 May 1745 He purchased land on 27 May 1745 at Isle of Wight County, VA; George Bell of Edgecomb in N.C. sold 200 acres on Nottoway Swamp adjoining Flaggy Run Swamp.3

Note*7 February 1663  On 7 February 1663 P. 533 of Boddie's 17th Century Isle of Wight says, "George Bell and Hester, his wife. Deed was witnessed by Francis Hobbs. 
DEED*24 June 1734  On 24 June 1734 George Bell and wife Elizabeth of the upper parish to his son George Bell, Jr. 100 acres located on the Meadow Branch. I think this deed refers to son who is more properly called George, III.1 
LANDCONTRA13 October 1742  On 13 October 1742 at Isle of Wight County, VA, George Bell, Jr. of North Carolina to Joseph Atkins 100 acres being the land George Bell, Sr. father of George Bell, Jr. bought from Arthur Jones and later gave to his son by Deed of Gift. 
LANDCONTRA10 November 1744  On 10 November 1744 at VA Deed of John Washington to Arthur Washington proved by oath of George Bell.2 
LANDCONTRA*27 May 1745  On 27 May 1745 at VA George Bell of Edgcomb County in North Carolina 200 acres on Nottoway Swamp adjoining Bardins Branch and Flaggy Run Swamp. Witnessed by Arthur and Sarah Washington. Wonder if this is part of the Dismal Swamp company?3 
Will*21 December 1751 He left a will on 21 December 1751 at NC; His will mentions grandaughter Martha Bell. This will appears in Grimes Abstract of Wills and grandaughter is called Mary there. Another source, Williams, lists daughter, Elizabeth Floyd and other children, Anthony, George, William,and grandaughter Martha Bell. Witness are William Portis, Thomas Bell, Thomas Floyd and a Kinchen.4

He’s been home from the hospital about a month and a half. He’s been going to “rehab” weekly, to help him gain strength and walk better.
He had even been to the doctor yesterday afternoon. Greg said he seemed to be weaker, since Saturday. Home Health was supposed to come today, to start looking after him.
Greg had put him in bed about 8:30. He heard him struggling to breathe, shortly before 9pm. He tried to help, but he was quickly gone. Russell Davidson.1

He was a deacon at Southside Baptist Church. -Survivors are two sons, Greg Berryhill and Philip Berryhill both of Cochran. -Donations may be made to Southside Church Building Fund, 615 Jessup St., Cochran, GA 31014. -The family is at the Berryhill residence 704 Ninth St. and will greet friends from 7:00 until 9:00P.M. on 27 July 2004 at Cochran, GA.
