Note*1833 She Ann fled the cholera epidemic in Paris, Kentucky taking refuge with her children at Walnut Lea. She died the night of her arrival. Its not certain if she died of cholera or a heart attack. She was hastily buried that night in the family cemetery located across the road from Walnut Lea. (Notes from Will Stamps) in 1833.2

Davis and Mr. Richardson has just paid us a visit from whom we have heard from you which was gratifying to us all. I have it in contemplation to pay you a visit this fall or early in the winter and to try my fortune a while in your country. The times are too dull here that very little is to be made. I want you to write to us and inform me what chance for a plasterer there is with you. Your friends and connections are generally well. I have nothing more at present to inform you but I conclude with my best wishes for you and yours, Farewell, John Stamps. in 1823.
